Electric Guitar Tracking..

So, we spent the last day or so tracking electric guitar. My boy Chad Bogosian dropped in with his Orange combo and slew of pedals to lay it down. We managed to get through “You Remain” (quickly becoming a house favorite), “Take All of Me” and “Bigger Than”. We will most likely add more guitars later as the songs continue to develop. It is really cool to see how songs take shape as you add more instrumentation. The drum and bass was great, but add in some guitar and organ parts and you start to “see” the song as a whole. Speaking of organ, the incredible Dave Ervin stopped by yesterday to throw down some sweet organ and wurlizter sounds on a few songs. Dave plays all of the area and frequents the stage at Fellowship Bible a ton. Thanks Dave. We are taking a few days break here as I prepare to lead at the Grove this weekend. Some more acoustic tracking and cello are in order for the weekend. Things are continuing to come together nicely and I think we will be into vocals by late next week. What a process, but it’s been a lot of fun and a learning experience for sure. Until next time.
